Spring Break 20011 *Maui Hawaii!!!!

Ok, so sorry about the marathon of pictures! We had over 500, and I just could not choose! I thought about putting them into a slide show so that it would not be such a loooooong post, but the real reason I even keep a blog is because it has become our family journal. One of these days I am really going to print it off into a book:)

For spring break this year our family was lucky enough to take a trip to Maui,Hawaii! We went with our GREAT friends, the Cuillards. We were in heaven (or better known as The Grand Wailea) for a week! This trip, all we really wanted was to have a great time as a family and to come back relaxed! So, for the first time we passed on all the excursions and just planted ourselves either down by the beach or next to the pool. While at the beach we did a ton of boogie boarding, paddle surfing, kaiaking, snorkling, and built many grand sandcastles! While poolside we swam, rode the many waterslides, went up the water elevator, flew off the rope swing, played volleyball, ordered too many pina coladas to count, and ate a few shaved ice!

Clay and Cheryl's family flew into Maui for a few days to play with us before their week in O'ahu. It was such a short time, that next time we will have to make sure to plan at least a week together! We did have a fun day at the beach, a couple wonderful dinners (especially the one at the hotel where our table was out on a little dock surrounded by groups of koi fish!), and went to the the movie "Soul Surfer".

This truly was a dream vacation and our kids say that this now needs to become our "spring break tradition". Yea Right! LOL!

Don't you love the orange! I thought since I was soooo white that I would go and get a "healthy" spray on tan before going. Oh Wow!!! Good thing it pretty much washed off in a day:)

Links meditating!! I was laughing so hard when I saw him sitting like this. He was just taking in Hawaii. Today while driving in the rain he said, "I really wish I was in sunny Maui instead!" "You Know mom, I think I'm going to live in Hawaii with my wife and kids when I am older....you are just going to have to come visit us there.....I will even build a room for you and dad to spend like a year in!"
