Spring Break in San Francisco

Procrastination! This word is the reason why we had such a wonderful spring break vacation! We knew that we wanted to do something for spring break, but did not know what to do. Many times we sat down to make a plan.....never coming to any conclusions! Each day that passed and spring break would get closer, the kids would ask, "What are we doing for spring break?" Joe and I would pass it off on the other, "I don't know. Why don't you go and ask your dad/mom." Finally, 2 days before, the Rykerts and us decided that if we were really going to do anything, we should probably get online and book a hotel. We knew we wanted to go somewhere HOT (It had been a long winter and was still cold outside.) We immediately thought....St. George....lets go to St. George. Well, I don't know why we even thought that there would be a single room available. All of Utah goes to either Southern California or St. George for spring break! After hours of trying to put a trip together, Derric and Joe said that they would come up with a "Take your chance trip." (family tradition!) They would plan it out and we would all would leave the day after next, not knowing where we were going, but being HAPPY that we were going! We headed for Northern California! Fun for me! This was where I grew up and since my parents now live in Utah, there are few opportunities to go back! Our fun included: Six flags amusement park, the redwood forest, Stentson Beach, a drive down Highway 1, The Golden gate bridge, riding in a limo to the SF Giants game, shopping, fishermans warf, early morning runs up and down the steep San Francisco hills, riding a trolly, and finally a trip down memory lane visiting all my old schools, homes, parks, and finally eating the BEST deli sandwich, from the BEST BetterFoods Deli! If procrastinating turns out to be this much fun......I don't think I will ever plan a trip again!
