For Presidents Day and Valentines we joined Mom & Wayne and the Roberts up at Tamarack for a fun weekend of skiing!
Lincoln was once again sooo excited to go skiing. He and Joe would ride the "magic carpet" up the little hill over and over. I took over helping him so Joe could go ski a few bigger hills. I was just in my ski boots and I would walk backwards while he would ski to me. He was doing so well that I told him to just ski back down to the bottom of the carpet and wait for me. He got going fast and swaying off course.....he was headed for the fence down around the ski lift! I couldn't run fast enough to catch him, so I just yelled. "Sit down Lincoln, sit down!" I guess we had never gone over the "falling down" skill because he only stopped when he hit the fence! Needless to say, I took him down the hill crying, "Dad can only teach me how to ski!"
Parker & Mckynlie skied together most of the day. Maddie and I were getting on the lift behind them and as we sat down I noticed Parker falling off the chair! Thankgoodness he was only about 10 feet up! The ski lift operators stopped the lift, and put him right back on....I thought for sure that he would be done skiing for the day, scared to get back on but it did not even phase him! It did give us a great laugh that day!
